Assisted Living Units
The Assisted Living Units (ALUs) provide a comfortable, and supportive environment, for residents who need assistance with some day-to-day tasks. The ten units, which are available to residents who are well, and independent, are available on a rental basis with the rent including for the services detailed below: –
- Meals: One three-course meal which is served daily at lunchtime in the dining room.
- Electricity: Up to 300 Kwh per month is included. Additional usage is billed at the standard rate current at that time.
- Cleaning: Units are cleaned twice a week, covering vacuuming, dusting, and cleaning of the bathroom, kitchenette, and patio.
- Water and Sewage: Both water consumption and sewage outflow are included.
- Window Cleaning: Exterior windows are cleaned once a month.
- Laundry: Laundering of sheets, pillowcases, and towels is included. Additional laundry needs can be arranged privately.
- Carport: A carport is provided at no extra charge for those residents with vehicles.
- Television Bracket: Each unit includes a TV wall bracket, installed at a designated location.
Access to Nursing Care and Emergency Services
Assisted living residents are entitled to nursing services from the Care Centre, with certain procedures available at published rates. Each resident is provided with a panic button for urgent medical assistance, and a professional nurse visits daily, with on-call support available in emergencies.
Use of Greater Ambers’ Facilities
All residents have access to all the recreational facilities across the Greater Ambers, including membership of clubs and attendance at shows and functions. Certain activities and events may have additional charges.
